Episode 100 is coming! I can't wait to share that with you. I sat down with Joshua from the Art of Money and Communication podcast a couple of weeks ago and we had a good old chinwag about financial independence, the cost of living crisis, why everything keeps getting more expensive and how you can semi-retire before you turn 40. In the meantime, comfort is an idol!
We all do it. "Life will be better when the kids are older." "Life will be better when I get that new job." "Life will settle down when..." It's a normal thought, and sometimes a useful one. But it's also a lie that keeps us permanently dissatisfied.
In this episode, I unpack why comfort functions exactly like an idol, promising everything, delivering nothing, and quietly pulling us away from the things that actually matter: growth, community, and character. I get honest about where I've stayed in the comfortable lane with my own tutoring business, and share a hard lesson learned watching a family raise an entitled teenager. We'll dig into where comfort-seeking is costing you more than you realise, and what to do about it instead.
👋 I'm collecting emails so I can share stuff that doesn't fit in podcast episodes - things I'm reading, learning, testing out. Recently, that's been NT Greek and Bitcoin Standard lectures, but it changes constantly. If you want those kinds of updates when I send them, go to dafyddmorse.com/signup
